Handyperson (Full-time)This full time position works within our Property, Maintenance, Engineering and Energy Management Department. Typical duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Repairs to mechanical and electronic locks
- Repairs to blinds, curtains, pelmets, windows and door shutters
- Shower head, tap and tile repairs and replacement
- Pool cleaning and water analysis
- Guestlink movie system fault rectification
- Basic air-conditioning repairs
- Moving furniture, mounting artwork etc
- Cleaning light fittings and skylights,
- Vacuum sewer plant, power station and water treatment logs
- Assist other trades as required.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance capacity ideally within the hospitality environment or large property operations
- Basic plumbing, electrical, tiling and carpentry skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Accustomed to dealing with the public in a hotel/resort environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Team player
- Pool maintenance an advantage
- Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety obligations
- Current clean drivers licence is essential
- Ability to work a fortnightly rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
