The following positions are available:

 

RECREATION ATTENDANT

We seek an outgoing person with excellent customer service skills to join our Recreation Department. The successful application must be a good communicator and a confident public speaker with bike knowledge being advantageous.

Selection Criteria

• Sport & Recreation Industry Qualifications
• Industry Experience
• Current Senior First Aid & CPR
• Current Blue Card
• Public Speaking & Conference group experience desirable
• The ability to be able to assist in all areas of the Recreation Department
• Be able to competently host environmental walks

This is a casual position with hours anticipated to be 30 + per week.

 

Day Spa Beauty Therapist

We are seeking a qualified Beauty Therapist to join our wonderful Day Spa team. You will be reporting directly to the Day Spa Manager and your main role will include providing exceptional services and treatments to all guests by following department-operating standards, whilst maintaining an utmost professional manner and appearance.
Other key requirements include:

• Relevant Beauty Therapy qualifications with similar experience in a professional environment (Health Spa, Hotel or Resort). 

• A minimum of 5 years experience within the Beauty / Day Spa industry
   
• Some experience in a variety of Massage techniques.
   
• Excellent grooming, superior communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach to clients.
   
• Thalgo product/treatment knowledge desirable but not essential.
   
• Must be able to work 1 weekend day plus 3 week days per week, between the hours of 10:30am and 7:00pm
   
• Administrative experience is desirable but not essential.

Electrician

We are seeking to employ a full time Electrician to work at our Island Resort, situated on South Stradbroke Island, just 35 minutes by ferry from Hope Island on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

 

The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain all electrical and other associated equipment as required to operate the resort. Our electricians need to have an understanding and be able to operate the following systems & equipment:

 

• Energy Management System
• Power Station Equipment
• Water Plant & associated Equipment
• Sewage Plant & all associated Equipment
• Computerised Maintenance Management System

 In order to apply for this position, you must meet the following selection criteria:

 

• Must hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Licence
• Previous experience in a Resort or similar organisation would be advantageous
• Have already obtained or be willing to obtain suitable qualifications in confined space entry.
• Have already obtained or be willing to obtain Senior First Aid / CPR qualifications
• Have already obtained or be willing to obtain L.V. Rescue Certificate
• Must have current QLD drivers licence

Please note that the successful candidate will be willing to stay employed with us for 12 months following the receipt of any qualifications paid for by the Resort, or alternatively to reimburse the Company for any qualifications received during the course of employment.

 

This position is full time, based on a 7 day roster, with 2 Rostered Day’s Off per week. The successful candidate will be flexible in the hours they can work, as it may be necessary to do over-time occasionally if the business necessitates.

Chef de Partie

We are looking for Chefs who are passionate about food, motivated and career orientated. If you are looking for a life/work style change then we want to hear from you.

Candidates must be:

Trade qualified / experienced in a resort or hotel work environment,
Team players with a "can do" attitude and an ability to take control of your section and make it your own, HACCAP knowledge an advantage. Experience in banquets and event operations in hotel/resort would be an advantage.

This salaried position requires you to be available on weekends and public holidays over a rotating roster. If you possess the drive and passion for delivering exceptional food to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction then we want you on our team. Immediate start.

Commis Chefs

We are looking for several Commis Chefs who are passionate about food, motivated and career orientated. If you are looking for a work / life style change then we want to hear from you!

Selection Criteria:

• Qualified (recently completed apprenticeship)
• Be able to work under pressure
• Willing to work weekends, nights, and public holidays
• Have reliable transport

These positions require you to be available on weekends and public holidays, based on a 7 day rotating roster. If you possess the drive and passion for delivering exceptional food to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction then we want you on our team.

We may be able to provide income for working holiday visa holders who can commit to a minimum 6 month period.
