Couran Cove Island Resort offers an ideal learning environment in the heart of untouched rainforest and abundant animal life. Learn about our ecofriendly measures as well as the island’s indigenous history. All educational tours are tailored to meet the needs of the school as well as the school curriculum.

Day Tours

Eco Day Tour

This day tour package is a great way to see some of the Gold Coast's hidden treasures.  Following a scenic ferry ride to the resort, you will be met by one of our Environmental Guides for morning tea. From here your guide will introduce you to South Stradbroke Island and you will learn about its history and natural beauty of the ecosystems as you take a leisurely walk through the rainforest and the resort.

Once you've got your bearings, we leave you to enjoy lunch at one of our restaurants and enjoy an afternoon of leisure.

Environmental Initiatives Day Tour
Come on an interesting two-hour tour of the resort and find out how an award-winning Ecotourism resort operates successfully within unique ecosystems. One of our experienced guides from the Environmental Centre will take you to key sites on the resort and explain the processes and technology of Ecotourism.

You'll go behind the scenes of a working tourism resort to view the worm farm, waste management system and gas fired power station. Morning tea out on the restaurant deck will add to this unique experience.

Accommodation packages

Our school group accommodation packages will provide your students with an educational experience they are sure to remember. Our packages give you the option of including lunch, morning/afternoon tea, sports and recreational activities and environmental tours. The choice is yours.
Accommodation in a Marine Deluxe room starts from $59.00 per student per night (based on triple share).
Our full-catered school meal package starts from $82.00 per student per night. The package consists of a full buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and dinner at Poolside at Spa Island.
